Digital Edition Mechanical Requirements

All rich media is subject to approval on an individual and unique basis and can be rejected for reasons not outlined within this specifications document, due to technical limitations and/or file format conflicts. Acceptance of rich media will be determined at initial file review / assessment.

Digital rights must be secured by the client.

All rich media must be sent via the following upload website:
http://www.strategymag.com/upload

Video

File Formats - AVI, MPG, Quicktime MOV
Max File Size - 100 Megabytes
Duration - Strongly recommended to keep between 15 to 60 seconds for advertising applications
Dimensions - Recommended 320w X 240h pixels

Note:
1. Client must specify specific placement and alignment of video on page (controls will disable zoom functions on that specific page).
2. Last frame of video will be what is displayed upon video completion.
3. Maximum of one rich video per two page spread. Not possible to embed more than one video window per two page spread.

Audio

File Formats - MP3, WAV, WMA
Max File Size - 10 MB
Bit Rate - 128 to 192 kbps

Animation

File Format - SWF (please send accompanying FLA)

Note:
1. Cannot contain any event triggers. Must be static movie clips. No buttons, textboxes or any other components.
